ABOUT

Hey y'all I’m Nicholas Futris! Or you can call me Nick, I answer to both. I am a Singer/Actor and Dancer originally born in Columbus, OH grew up in Athens, GA and went to college in Hartford, CT where I am currently based. I love all genres of theatre and film. My favorite movies range from The Dark Knight to The Nightmare Before Christmas and Frozen. Fun fact, I have seen Frozen on stage at The Hyperion in Disneyland, on Broadway, the National Tour and Regionally!

When I saw my first Broadway show (Anastasia) in high school I knew that I had found my purpose. I pursued a BFA in Musical Theatre at The Hartt School where I joined Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, learned to shovel snow and do some pirouettes! 

 

I am a vocal health nerd and I love learning new things about the voice. I have a bunch of fun warmups and home remedies in my back pocket at all times. When I am not performing, I like to read, find a park to explore or obsess over my favorite streaming shows and movies. My favorite digital creator is supreme leader Brittany Broski and I enjoy learning about internet lore and memes by being chronically online.

Some of my recent projects include attending the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals in January 2024. You can briefly hear my singing voice in the film “Christmas With Jerks” Streaming now on Tubi and Prime Video. I had the honor of performing at Don't Tell Mama NYC and the Green Room 42 with with Its Me JulieB! Productions & Aurora Lights Productions. This Spring I had a blast playing Ogie in Waitress the musical at the Majestic Theatre MA. And I spent the summer at the Ivoryton Playhouse performing in the two big musicals of their season, Joseph & the Amazing Techonolor Dreamcoat and  My Fair Lady.
